French (LIFR) Courses
You can choose subtitles in French or English.First Year
Second Year
Students who are planning to continue studying the language or its literature may want to take Literature 2A rather than LIFR 1D/DX. Students who take 1D/1DX and later decide to continue their language studies, or study abroad, will still need to take LIT 2A as LIFR 1D/1DX is not the prerequisite for LIT 2B. To discuss your particular situation, please contact your advisor, Stéphanie Gaillard | sgaillard@ucsd.edu (responsible for the 1st year French curriculum), or Catherine Ploye | cploye@ucsd.edu (responsible for the 2nd year French curriculum).
